I just bought some today! I was wondering why I couldn't find it on the website. I picked up the Mountain Berry and a Field and Stream with lavender body butter in Westport, ON at The Village Green.

Hey Tiff!

Yes, there are a few good brands you can check out. If you go to www.saffronrouge.com you'll find brands like Dr.Haushka, Zuii, Suki, Living Nature, and NVEY. They might not all be 100% natural but they're very clean. Enjoy!

Yay!!! I'm so excited to hear that there is a store close to me. I've been to the store in Banff every time I'm there, and have been buying my RMSC stuff at the Calgary's Farmer's Market. My company also introduced RMSC stuff in our employee points catalogue and we are all very happy to have those selections. Keep up the great work and the awesome products!

Found out that the Citronella Summer Lotion is only made once a year. Please let us know when the next batch is made. I would love to try it. We have been using the Breakout Buster for all the bites.

Yes lye is used to saponify all natural soaps. Please note there is no lye in the final soap product, it is only used to start the reaction (saponification) with the base vegetable oils.

Hi,

I am curious about the saponification process that Rocky Mountain uses. Is lye used to make your soap or is there another more natual way to do it?

Hi Fracas,

Wow, you're so diligent to slice up soap and send with your son! I do that too, so I don't have to use the soap in gas station bathrooms when I'm travelling but I thought I was the only soap-snob that did that! Cool to know I'm not alone.

And what a great idea! We normally use our Bed & Body Spray as a bathroom freshener, but I never even thought about squirting some hand soap directly into the toilet, I'll have to try that.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Recently, my son went to a 3 day camp. I sliced him slivers of soap that would make a one-time use, wrapped them in baking parchment, and sent enough of those so the slivers would be for a single use. He was able to take your soap along with him without a hitch, no mess, no fuss. The soap slices so nicely at home... but being able to get them custom labeled like that is a truly fab idea.. awesome service to add! Now we should just convince the corporations to order up soaps with custom labels to hand out instead of all that other junky stuff they give out at meetings and conventions... fills up our closets and I'd rather have your soap!

I'd also like to share some info about a product I asked about when I was at the store in Canmore...

I'd asked if you had a product to use in the toilet... to diffuse, um... odour. The gal there at the time said you didn't have a specific product for that, but I purchased the Alpine Air Hand & Body Wash and thought I'd try a squirt or two in the toilet (prior to use of the toilet that is) because it had the lemongrass scent I was looking for. I really must say it does a pretty decent job of minimizing unpleasant odours. If you want to know more about what product I was trying to replace, just email me at the address that shows up for me in your admin panel. I prefer the Rocky Mountain products... and the fact it worked great for what I was wanting is something you should know so that you can share that info with others!

Have a great day Abby-Lynn!
