Wash as needed with Pumpkin Patch soap, to relieve dryness, itching, etc. Great for hands, faces, bodies. Safe for all ages. We’ve been told by our customers with eczema that its great for shampooing and shaving as well. Swipe body butter on affected areas to soothe and heal dryness, irritation and flaking after washing with Pumpkin Patch soap. Best used together.
My 2-year-old son, Matthew, has eczema. His poor skin had many areas of raised, bumpy, itchy, dry skin. He would reach back into his clothes to the back of his shoulders and scratch every day until his shoulders bled. He looked as though he had been attacked by a cat. We tried everything the doctor recommended. Prescription creams, doak oil (this is a tar oil and your whole house reeks of tar each time you use it, it turned my stomach) and other products like Aveeno, and glaxal base cream; all brought a small degree of relief, but nothing relieved his itchy patches completely.
My husband was in Canmore, Alberta and wandered into the Rocky Mountain Soap Company. After he told Karina (Birch) about my son’s skin condition she recommended the Pumpkin Patch soap and the [Unscented] Body Butter. He brought home one of each.
We began using the Pumpkin Patch each night at bath time and the Body Butter morning and night on Matthew. The change in his skin began to be noticeable in four days. After a week there was hardly any noticeable patches on his skin. After two weeks every patch was gone; his skin was as healthy and soft as any other baby!!
I was astounded. A soap did this for my son when all of the traditional medical remedies did almost nothing for him! Now we use the soap on him and our other two children (who both have dry skin, but not eczema) and we use the Body Butter on Matthew once a day. Even if we skip a day or two of the Body Butter his skin is fine.
I cannot express the relief my husband and I feel. We once thought Matthew would be doomed to have these terrible patches on his skin forever; now we know he won’t.
