Chest Rub provides natural effective relief for any chest congestion.. Not only does it smell terrific but it feels comforting and is good for the skin. It contains natural beeswax and high quality vegetable oils as a base, instead of the more commonly used paraffin based derivatives. It contains pure essential oils and camphor, whereas many cheaper synthetic equivalents are by-products of the petrochemical industry. The natural essential oils act as mild antiseptics and stimulants for colds and flu, calm coughs, open the airways, help to relax a constricted chest while calming the body, allowing you to drift off into much needed sleep. The essential oils are all powerful anti-bacterial and anti-viral and the fragrance is calming and uplifting. Eucalyptus, Lavender, Ravensara, White Camphor and Cornmint are traditional oils used to soothe a cold.
Eucalyptus is a very effective oil to use for respiratory problems during flu, colds, coughing, sinus and asthma while it also soothes muscular aches and pains. Cornmint is used much in the same way as peppermint oil, but is naturally richer in menthol. Great for relief of headaches, bronchitis, rheumatic problems, colds, laryngitis. Traditional uses of camphor are varied, but relate mainly to colds, influenza, fever, pneumonia, inflammation and diarrhea. Externally the oil is specifically used to treat rheumatic conditions of the muscles; internally for circulatory disorders. It is used both internally and externally against inflammation and congestion of the respiratory tract. Unlike other types of Camphor, white camphor does not contain safrol and is relatively nontoxic, non-sensitizing, and nonirritant. Ravensara is referred to by the people of Madagascar as "the oil that heals" because of its antiseptic activity and aid in respiratory problems. It is anti-infectious, antiviral, antibacterial, expectorant and supporting to the nerves. It has shown to help with rhinopharyngitis, flu, sinusitis, bronchitis, infectious mononucleosis, insomnia and muscle fatigue. Lavender is sedative, hypotensive, calming, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-infectious, and relieves headaches and insomnia.
Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, beeswax, hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort) oil, with essential oils of eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus), mentha arvensis (cornmint), lavandula angustifolium (lavender),ravensara aromatica (ravensara),cinnamomum camphora (white camphor) bark, and tocopherol (vitamin E)

I just wanted to pass along my thoughts (and thanks!) about your Cold and Flu line of products. Recently, my 18 month old daughter came down with a nasty cold which was interrupting her sleeps, both at night and during the day. Since the removal of all cough and cold medications for children under two from store shelves, and the recent warnings about the safety and effectiveness of any such medications for children under the age of six, I was at a loss as to what I could do to make her more comfortable. After searching on-line for 'home remedies' and asking a few friends, I remembered that I had been given some of Rocky Mountain Soap's Cold and Flu products (room spray, butter and roll-on) from a friend of mine. I doctored my daughter up with them and was relieved to find that she had a much more restful and uninterrupted sleep that night! I sent her to the day-home the following day with the products so that they could use them on her before her nap. They too noticed a marked improvement in her symptoms and comfort level. I have since passed along the names of all the products to them as they are keen to try them out on their own kids.
Thanks for yet another great product!
Sincerely, Pam (and daughter Colby)
