Washing your face should be simple, straightforward and easy. But all of the conflicting advice out there makes it feel like a complex, multi-step and overwhelming process. Should you use an oil, a balm, a cream, a lotion, a gel? Should your cleanser lather? And should you be left feeling squeaky-clean or soft and nourished?

At Rocky, we like keeping things simple. Washing your face should be a source of joy—not a chore.

We’re here to tell you that skincare doesn’t need to be a complicated, 10-step process. If you've already decluttered your closet to reveal a handful of joy-sparking staples, it's time to do the same with your skincare.

Easy Morning Skincare

Step 1: Cleanse the Night Away

While you were sleeping, sweat, bacteria and other impurities accumulate on your skin. That's why it's nice to start the day with a simple, gentle cleanser like our Complete Cream Cleanser. It'll leave skin feeling soft and dewy while still thoroughly cleansed thanks to a blend of deep-cleaning kaolin and nourishing Abyssinian oil. Simply massage the cream into your skin and then remove with a warm, wet face towel in small circular motions.

Step 2: Tone and Hydrate

Give your skin a dose of hydration with one of our Facial Toners. We have three in total to target three skin needs: Hydrating for dry skin, Calming for sensitive skin and Purifying for oily skin. Using a toner balances the skin while adding another layer of nutrients. Toners also prepare your skin for improved absorption and more even texture when applying your moisturizer. It will leave your skin feeling fresh and hydrated.

Step 3: Moisturize & Protect

Always make time to moisturize! It’s oh-so-important to protect your skin for the day ahead. Our Essential Face Cream is the ultimate superhero for your face. It's made with Black Oats Extract, which forms a barely-there layer to protect against dryness all day long.

Three-Step Night Routine

Step 1: Remove Makeup & Cleanse

Wash the day away and cleanse your skin with our Transformative Cleansing Oil. New to oil cleansing? When used as a cleanser, plant oils dissolve dirt and makeup residue so both can be easily washed away with a warm wet face cloth. Learn more about cleansing your face with natural oils.

Step 2: Hydrate Your Eyes

The skin around your eyes is thinner and more fragile than the rest of your face, so it’s important to give it an extra dose of TLC with the Essential Eye Cream. Beech tree bud extract gives a firm resiliency and support to the skin, while coconut and jojoba oils provide long-lasting hydration. This formula also uses vitamin and antioxidant rich ginseng and green tea to give skin a smooth and supple look.

Step 3: Smooth on Serum

Before bed is the perfect time to add a hydrating serum to nourish your skin as you sleep. At Rocky, we've created four to choose from based on your skin's needs. There's the Restorative Natural Face Serum for more mature skin, the Hydrating Natural Face Serum for dry skin, the Calming Natural Face Serum for sensitive skin and the Purifying Natural Face Serum for oily and troubled skin.

When (and How) to Exfoliate

Now that you've mastered the basics, it can be nice to add in a bit of gentle exfoliation now and then. Exfoliants help to remove excess skin cells and reveal your natural glow. Depending on your skin type, you may need need to exfoliate every other day or just once a week. We've created three face polishes that can be used with plain water, or mixed into a cleanser to create an even gentler scrub.
