Rose Geranium, also known as Pelargonium Roseum, is an uncommon flower that grows in the Cape Provinces of South Africa, as well as the Northern Provinces of South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. It can also be found in regions of Europe and China.

The flowers actually range from a white to a pale pink and bloom typically from August through January. Rose geranium is a very common essential oil and is steam distilled for its scent. It has very similar properties to geranium, however with the more rose-like scent. Commonly this type of geranium is known as a scented geranium.
