"I was reminded how much kids love being in the kitchen when the girls and I took a cooking class in Thailand last month. You can keep it simple, easy and fun by making a soup together. Start by simmering chicken broth on the stovetop. Each of the kids can add a couple of ingredients of their choice into the soup. Noodles, carrots, celery, spices, potatoes, lentils. The list is endless, really. Buy a flaky baguette to go with it and you have lunch, dinner and leftovers. Fabulous."
