While joyful and full of parties and giving, the holidays can also be a very stressful time. Manage your stress by taking just a few minutes out of your day to do these 3 easy steps so you maintain your calm during the holiday hurricane.

  1. Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes. Make sure the volume is low and the chime is gentle then sit or lie in a comfortable position.
  2. Close your eyes and relax. Take a few deep belly breaths and let them out slowly.
  3. Let go of your thoughts. Don’t try to think of nothing, instead accept anything that comes into your mind, accept it and let it go. Continue this until the timer chimes.

This short but sweet time to yourself can turn your whole day around. Don’t underestimate the power of a mini-meditation. It can help lower stress, revive a tired mind or body and give you better focus to get everything done. You deserve to enjoy every day during this season, so Keep Calm and Holiday On!
