How Does Our Deodorant Work?

Our Natural Deodorants are made using Potassium Alum, a naturally occurring salt. It has been crushed up and suspended in liquid form and blended with anti-bacterial and therapeutic essential oils to provide you with a solution to stinky armpits.

The molecules of Potassium Alum are too large to pass through pores and into the bloodstream, so they don’t actually go into your body. But what they do is inhibit the growth of the bacteria that causes body odour. By adjusting the pH of the skin’s surface, it creates an environment where bacteria cannot grow. It goes on wet, and then when the minerals dry, they rest on top of the skin as a protective layer.

So be sure to shake your deodorant well and allow it to dry before getting dressed. You should expect our deodorant to last at least 6 hours, but we’ve had many customers report that it lasts all day. Please write to us with your experience using our deodorants, we’d love to hear from you!
