The humble cucumber contains many vitamins, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients. It’s also marvellously hydrating and overall a great choice to use as a simple but wonderfully effective facial treatment. Here a few cucumber based blends you can whip up in your kitchen:
Fresh Cucumber & Oatmeal Mask for Blemish-Prone Skin Puree half an organic cucumber and add a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of organic oat flour.
Fresh Cucumber & Yogourt Mask for Dry Skin Puree half an organic cucumber and add a tablespoon of plain full-fat yogourt.
Fresh Cucumber & Aloe Mask for Anti-Ageing Puree half an organic cucumber, add a tablespoon of aloe vera pulp and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Tie your hair back and put on a headband to keep your hair out of the mask. Apply your chosen recipe to clean skin and relax for fifteen minutes to allow the nutrients and hydration to work their wonders. Do some deep breathing to promote relaxation and cleanse stale air from your lungs. Rinse off the mask and apply your favourite moisturizer before taking on the rest of the day. You’ll feel like a new person.
