It's been a while since we shared a recipe at Rocky. So, we wanted to bring you something that will put a pep in your step, get your energy up and push you through the upcoming fall mornings. September is just about here and you know what that means…

We love Smoothies

Smoothies are great for early mornings and are really easy to make when it seems like you are constantly on the go. This green smoothie recipe is good for you, packed with nutrients and totally energy inducing. It also tastes amazing (key right!).

The secret to a great smoothie is great nutrient-rich ingredients that won’t thin it to juice status.. We love our smoothies nice and thick.

Why would you otherwise refer to them as smoothies?

Green Tea Mango Smoothie

This green smoothie is made with matcha green tea, avocado, mango and amazing flax. Matcha is one of those power foods that is so good for you and gives you an energy boost without the crash. It is completely green energy. Avocado is great for your skin and hair, while mango is sweet and delicious. Add a boost of flax and chia seeds for protein and to keep you going all day long.

Smoothie Ingredients


This recipe makes enough for 1-2 servings.

  • 1 cup of your favourite milk, milk alternative or coconut water
  • ¾ cup of frozen mango chunks
  • 1 tbsp of Matcha Green Tea
  • 1 tsp flax seed
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • ½ avocado

Mixing it all together

  1. Add all your smoothie ingredients to your blender
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Pour into glasses and enjoy
  4. Feel the energy
