We receive many comments on how wonderfully delicate, light and fruity the Essential Face Cream smells. But what exactly makes it smell so good if it’s not a synthetic fragrance? Is it the pomegranate?

You might be surprised to hear that Pomegranate Oil has little to no scent. It is a carrier oil that is produced by pressing pomegranate seeds. It is the hero of our day cream for a few reasons: it is antioxidant and vitamin rich - helping to restore vitality to the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, it leaves lasting moisture without clogging pores, and naturally boosts the production of collagen. It’s seriously good superfood for the skin.
So what about the scent? That would be the combination of jasmine and citrus essential oils - Blood Orange peel, Grapefruit peel and Bergamot fruit to be exact. Jasmine possesses an exotic, sensual and floral fragrance. It is often associated with symbols of love, purity and nobility. While it can tend to overpower, the melange with fruity citrus brings a refreshing, crisp lightness to balance the floral notes, resulting in a beautifully uplifting scent that is so delicious it’s hard to resist!
