Here at Rocky we are grateful for so many things — from the amazing place we call home to the people we meet everyday in our stores and workshop. We’d love to share what thankfulness means to us this Thanksgiving Holiday.

NOT JUST A HOLIDAY - A COMPANY VALUE

Thanksgiving is all about gratitude. At the start of every work week at our workshop, the Rocky team gathers in our meeting area and start the day with a minute of ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ taking one minute to pick three things we are thankful for. Giving thanks and having a positive mindset is part of our culture at Rocky, aligning with our Company Core Values of Kindness and Positivitude.

Expressing gratitude for all you have in your life, getting together with loved ones and enjoying that extra slice of pumpkin pie are all part of the Thanksgiving tradition. Let this tradition be a joyous reminder for your gratitude practice.

BEYOND THE BIRD

Food is a huge part of the celebration, with families and friends gathering to celebrate the holiday and enjoy each others company. So, whether you’re baking or roasting, steaming orsautéing this Thanksgiving; let the wonderful aromas fill your homes and conversations and good times flow. Perhaps you could dig out the traditional board games or talk a stroll in your neighbourhood to admire the stunning fall colours? Being present in the moment really shows people you care. 

Rocky is nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and all our products are made in our workshop in Canmore, Alberta.Being outside and immersed in nature is one of Rocky’s fond Holiday Season activities.

THE BIG AND THE SMALL

Appreciation can have a beneficial and hugely positive impact on our own attitudes and relationships. Big or small, simply recalling a time of feeling sincere appreciation and thankfulness can generate positive emotions and reduce stress.

The tradition of gift giving to show honor and appreciation is a loving sentiment. Why not say thank you with home baked cookies, a hand written card or a bottle of wine. Our Gratitude gift set also makes for a really special thank you.
