Cetearyl-alcohol is a skin-friendly compound that behaves as an emollient and carrying agent. Some of our products contain Cetearyl-alcohol, which enhances the texture and binds the essential oils together producing an overall better product. In its natural form, this fatty alcohol comes in white, waxy flakes and can be safely handled, glove free. Despite the scary name, alcohol, products containing this ingredient are still considered alcohol free! This is a friendly conduit that does not aggravate or break down the integrity of the skin, in fact, it does the opposite! It can be quite beneficial as it absorbs quickly once applied to provide a protective layer on the surface of the skin and allowing your skin to soak up all the vitamins and nutrients all natural essential oils can offer.
