The Rocky Refill program is expanding to include all of our skincare packaging, cream deodorant jars and more! Empty packaging is returned to our workshop, sanitized, refilled, then goes back on the shelves to be loved again. We’re so proud to share this innovative take back program.
How does it work?
*The Rocky Refill Program is currently available only in stores. Stay tuned for when we launch online.
How do you sanitize the packaging?
The sterilization process is quite simple. The packaging is washed with hot water then dried using a compressed air system.

I’m an online shopper and don’t live near a store, can I mail back my empty packaging?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept mailed empty bottles at this time, but stay tuned for more details as we work to find a process for our online shoppers.
Will your retail or wholesale vendors be offering this service?
Unfortunately, our retail vendors are not able to accept empty packaging at this time. This will be something we will explore in the future.
Which stores are participating?
All of our stores are equipped with our bins!
Will you be offering a refill station, where I can refill my own bottle?
We ran a trial in our flagship store and found it did not work well for our customers.
Our Refills program, where we take back empty bottles and refill them at our workshop, seems to be more effective for everyone and we’re excited to be able to offer this across all Rocky stores.
Will you be offering a discount to those that bring back their empty packaging?
With the cost of shipping and the machinery needed to sanitize the bottles, we won’t be saving any money with this initiative, so the cost of our refilled packaging will remain the same.

While this is a great option and initiative, we need to start creating less waste in general. If you could create biodegradable packaging, containers, etc. or offer actual refills for all of your products, the world would be a much better place!
