Your FAQs About Face Care

Bottles of face care products on a counter

Your face is the most important thing you wear every day. We only get one face and one chance to take care of it, which is why skin care should be an important part of your routine.

At Rocky, we believe mother nature provides everything we need to keep us looking and feeling our best. But, as natural products rise in popularity so do your questions. We’ve put together a list of FAQs regarding our natural skin care line to help you make informed decisions.

Do I leave the cleansing oil on my skin or wash it off?

This is 100% up to you. Some people like to use the cleansing oil with a cotton pad and the toner to remove makeup, dirt, and unwanted bacteria, while others prefer to use the oil with water and wipe away with a warm washcloth. For more information on cleansing your face with oil, or, check out this video on our two recommended methods.

The face masks expire, what happens if I use them past the expiration date?

Because our face masks are made with all natural ingredients, so, they do have a shorter shelf-life; after all, the mask is meant for your skin and not to be left on a shelf. If you do find your mask has expired with some leftover, it is still safe to use and won’t harm your skin. The nutritional value of the ingredients just deplete over time. Think about the spices in your cupboard. After a few years, they’re still OK, they just don’t smell as strong.

Our masks come in powder form and can be mixed in so many different ways. Check out some of the ways we recommend using our masks

I don’t see a night cream in your Complete Transformative Skincare Line. What do I use at night?

At this time, we don’t have a night cream, however, we have some awesome alternatives to keep your skin hydrated, day and night. Our face serums are packed with tons of nutrients and can be used on their own, or combined with our Pomegranate Day Cream to provide a powerful Night-time moisture kick.

I heard some essential oils can cause photosensitivity. Are they still safe to use on my face?

We use the smallest amount of essential oils possible in our products in order to ensure we reap the benefits of the oils and minimize the risk. If your skin is naturally sensitive to sunlight, you may want to consult a physician before using products containing sweet orange oil or bergamot.

Can I use the face polish every day?

We recommend that you use the face polish three times a week, however, it really depends on what you feel is right for your skin. If you would like to use the polish more frequently, you can soften the face polish by mixing it with our transformative cleansing oil or pomegranate day cream. This will make the exfoliant a little bit gentler and softer on your skin.

What if I get the product in my eyes?

Most of our face care products won’t sting if you get them in your eyes, however, you should still avoid this sensitive area. If you find your skin or eyes are irritated in any way, discontinue use immediately.

Do you test your skin care products on animals?

We never test our products on animals, only on humans, in fact, one of the perks for working at Rocky, our employees get to be our guinea pigs.

How do I use the Complete Transformative Skin Care Line?

We think you should have fun with your skincare routine and adjust how you use our products according to what your skin is asking for. But, here is a good place to start. You can start with this routine both morning and night.

1. Cleanse your face with the Transformative Cleansing Oil
2. Spritz the Purifying Toner on your face
3. Spread some Pomegranate Day Cream on your face until absorbed
4. Using your ring finger, dab the Beach Tree Eye Bud Cream on the skin around your eyes
5. You’re ready to seize the day or snuggle into bed!
